This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I enjoyed reading the book， it was easy enough to do and nothing was overly complicated。 It was nice and simple。 I didn’t like the main Characters Maddy or Olly at all during the start of the book but as it progresses they definitely grew on me。 The ending was me favourite bit， I like the twist of Maddy not actually being sick。 It was simple but good and that is probably the best way to describe this book， simple but good。So I think it is really a solid 3。75 but I’ll round it up for this。

“Life is a gift。 Don't forget to live it。” ~Buddy read/twin read with Aria！ <3 ~Everything， everything is your typical sick lit book。 We have Madeline Whittier， the ill main character diagnosed with SCID or severe combined immunodeficiency， a very rare disease。 Next we have Oliver Bright， a healthy human being whom the mc falls in love with。 Then you know， everything starts to change in their lives， they're in love and they start taking risks。 The first half of this book was more enjo “Life is a gift。 Don't forget to live it。” ~Buddy read/twin read with Aria！ <3 ~Everything， everything is your typical sick lit book。 We have Madeline Whittier， the ill main character diagnosed with SCID or severe combined immunodeficiency， a very rare disease。 Next we have Oliver Bright， a healthy human being whom the mc falls in love with。 Then you know， everything starts to change in their lives， they're in love and they start taking risks。 The first half of this book was more enjoyable and funny。 When Maddy and Olly were just online friends， chatting， & bantering with each other， it was cute。 But argh it all went downhill at the last 50%， because suddenly， the romance fell flat for me。 Also， i didn't watch the movie so i dived into this book without knowing the whole storyline。 Ms。 Nicola Yoon's writing style was one of the few things I loved in this book。 I appreciated the small chapters and the adorable illustrations （her husband was the illustrator， cute rightt？）。 It was really simple and easy， it didn't bore me。 For the characters， Maddy and Olly were hmmm。。 pretty okay。 Maddy was smart， sometimes witty and i relate to her bookworm problems lol。 Olly on the other hand， was sometimes funny too but most of the time boring。 The best character here was Carla， caring and loving Carla。 And the worst that happened here was Maddy's mom， *cough* because of the plot twist。 I had fun reading this though。 The ending was just meh， but overall the book is average。 I wish someday， I could just sneak out of the house and impulsively have a trip to Hawaii yEaH LmA0。 “Maybe growing up means disappointing the people we love。” _ pRe-rEvieW stuff:the plot twist was good and also disappointing at the same time。 i didn't watch the movie so i was quite surprised by it。 3 stars。 Review to come 。。。more
